I have to point out the obvious - the Canucks do not wish to trade a player to a division rival. Trading Boeser to the Oil would be unpalatable unless an equal asset was returned ... this is not a waiver level player ... would the Oilers give up Cody Ceci ? Dylan Holloway? I think not. Boeser is Eastern Conference bound OR Minnesota where he's from ... for a certain UFA player that might be willing to sign a new deal.
